The Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes hosted a remarkable soirée on Tuesday night, organized by UTA and DoorDash. This event attracted a distinguished gathering of influential figures from the advertising industry, entertainment, and various sectors, marking a significant highlight of Cannes Lions 2026.

The UTA and DoorDash Ads Executive Soirée featured an impressive lineup of industry leaders. Notable attendees included UTA CEO David Kramer, COO Bob Roback, chairman Paul Wachter, and vice chairman Jay Sures. Other prominent figures included DoorDash’s VP of Ads Toby Espinosa, CMO Tim Castree, and VP of Enterprise Ad Sales Dan Ackerman. The event also welcomed Apple’s Eddy Cue, recognized as the Cannes Lions Entertainment Personality of the Year, along with UTA U.K. head Darnell Strom and Raina Penchansky, co-head of UTA Creators.

David Kramer articulated UTA’s strategic decision to have a significant presence at Cannes Lions this year. He emphasized the convergence of various sectors, including film, entertainment, sports, and technology. “Our thesis has been for a long time now that the convergence of brands — film, entertainment, sports, music, comedy, fashion, creators, tech — everything was on its way,” he stated. He noted the presence of over 100 agents and executives from UTA and more than 125 clients, highlighting the collaborative culture within the agency.

Ludacris electrified the atmosphere with a performance that included hits like “All I Do Is Win” and “Act a Fool.” His energy resonated with the crowd, prompting even the VIP section to join in the excitement. During his performance, he engaged the audience by referencing his appearances in the Fast & Furious franchise, which drew enthusiastic cheers.

Kramer shared insights into UTA’s innovative venue at Cannes Lions, designed to facilitate meetings and foster opportunities. “We built a two-story structure, and there are thousands of people coming through there throughout the week,” he explained. He described the efficiency of being present with diverse companies and talents, likening each day at Cannes Lions to a dog year in terms of productivity.
