Dubai has launched the inaugural Dubai-it Award, a new initiative aimed at honoring individuals, projects, and organizations that have transformed bold ambitions into measurable impacts. The award seeks to celebrate those who not only conceive innovative ideas but also execute them with excellence, speed, and tangible results that reflect the spirit of Dubai.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, introduced the ‘Dubai-it’ initiative on June 17. This initiative aims to instill Dubai’s work philosophy in future generations, emphasizing the importance of achieving exceptional results in record time with precision and excellence. Sheikh Mohammed stated that speed should not equate to haste, and quality should not imply a slowdown. He underscored that ambition is meaningless without effective execution.
Overview of the Dubai-it Award
The Dubai-it Award was officially announced on June 24 by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai. The award is designed to recognize those who have successfully transformed ambitious ideas into tangible results and exceptional achievements, delivered with excellence and distinction.
The award is managed by His Excellency Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Chairman of The Executive Office of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Nominations opened on August 10 and will remain open until September 10, 2026. For this inaugural edition, nominations will focus on achievements, projects, initiatives, and transformations completed over the past four years. Starting from the second cycle, nominations will be limited to achievements finalized within the previous 24 months.
Individuals can nominate themselves or be nominated by their companies, institutions, or organizations. Similarly, companies and institutions can nominate their projects, teams, and key individuals who played a significant role in their achievements. The award aims to be open, ambitious, and inclusive, recognizing those who have led, built, transformed, and delivered results that are “worthy of Dubai’s name.”

How to Submit Nominations
Nominations can be submitted through the award’s digital platform by following these steps:
- Click on ‘Dubai-it Award’ at the top right corner of the screen and select ‘Nominate now’.
- Enter your email address and click on ‘Send OTP’ to receive a one-time password.
- Choose your recognition category: individual, project, institution, or company.
- Select the applicable award field and continue.
- Provide your nomination details, specifying whether you are nominating yourself or on behalf of another.
- Enter the nominee’s details, including their full name, Emirates ID, and passport copy.
- Describe the achievement, including its nature, year, and the nominee’s role.
- Detail how the submission meets the eight evaluation criteria, with a suggested word limit of 300 words for each criterion, and attach supporting documents.
- Review your submission to ensure all claims are backed by evidence.
