Social media reports indicate long queues at Australian stores such as Woolworths due to payment system failures and difficulties accessing financial institutions like the National Australia Bank.

Delhi airport issued a statement: “Due to the global IT issue, some of the services at the Delhi Airport were temporarily impacted. We are closely working with all our stakeholders to minimise the inconvenience to our flyers. Passengers are requested to be in touch with the airline concerned or the help desk on the ground for updated flight information. We regret the inconvenience caused to our passengers.”

Individual User Issues

Millions of Windows users worldwide encountered the Blue Screen of Death, causing unexpected shutdowns or restarts. Users reported losing unsaved data and valuable time due to these errors. The screen displayed the message: “Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We’re just collecting some error info, and then we’ll restart for you.”

Cloud Services Disruption

Microsoft’s cloud services, particularly Azure, faced significant issues starting around 6 pm ET on Thursday. This disruption affected various sectors and essential services.

Impacted Microsoft Services

Microsoft identified several services that were impacted by the outage:

  • PowerBI: Users may notice that their service is in read-only mode while the issue is being addressed.

Microsoft’s Response

Microsoft has acknowledged the issues with its Azure services and Microsoft 365 apps. In a post on social platform X, the company stated: “Our services are still seeing continuous improvements while we continue to take mitigation actions.”

The company is actively investigating the root cause of these disruptions and working on resolving the issues to restore normal service.
