Linkin Park has announced a major change to their lineup, welcoming Emily Armstrong as their new lead singer. Armstrong, best known as the frontwoman of the alt-rock band Dead Sara, will join the band for their upcoming album From Zero and a world tour. This marks the first major change since the tragic death of their former lead singer, Chester Bennington, in 2017.
Armstrong will share vocal duties with Mike Shinoda, and the new lineup will also feature Colin Brittain as the band’s drummer, replacing Rob Bourdon. The new album will be preceded by the single The Emptiness Machine, their first new music since Bennington’s passing.
Linkin Park’s tour will include stops in major cities like Los Angeles, New York, Hamburg, Seoul, London, and Bogotá, marking their return to live performances since 2017. Armstrong expressed her admiration for the band, recalling the influence of their 2000 album Hybrid Theory on her musical journey.
Fans can expect a fresh era for the band while honoring their legacy.
