Get active and experience some of Dubai’s most iconic landmarks at the Dubai Run this weekend. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun way to get moving, this annual event is the perfect opportunity to participate in one of the city’s most exciting fitness events.

About the Dubai Run

The Dubai Run is a key event of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, an initiative that encourages everyone in the emirate to lead a more active lifestyle. This year, the event will be held on Sunday, November 24, and promises to be another thrilling experience for participants of all ages and abilities.

Participants can choose between two routes: a 5km route and a 10km route. Both races will begin near the Museum of the Future and run through some of the most iconic sights in Dubai.

Key Landmarks on the Route

  • Burj Khalifa
  • Dubai Opera
  • Museum of the Future
  • Dubai Mall (for the 5km route)
  • DIFC Gate (for the 10km route)

How to Register for the Dubai Run

Registration for the Dubai Run is simple and free. To sign up, you’ll need to provide a few personal details, including:

  • City and country of residence
  • Date of birth
  • Email address
  • Full name
  • Strong password
  • Emergency contact number

If you’re signing up your children, you’ll also need to indicate how many are joining and ensure that they’re supervised by an adult (children under 13). Once registered, you’ll be able to select your preferred race route and arrival time.

Race Timings:

  • 5km Route: Arrive between 4:00 AM – 8:00 AM
  • 10km Route: Arrive between 4:00 AM – 7:30 AM

The Dubai Run Route

The 5km route begins on Sheikh Zayed Road near the Museum of the Future, passing by the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Opera, and finishing near Dubai Mall.

The 10km route also starts near the Museum of the Future, crosses Dubai Canal Bridge, loops along Sheikh Zayed Road, and finishes near DIFC Gate.

Road Closures

To accommodate the race, Sheikh Zayed Road will be temporarily closed, as well as other key areas such as Lower Financial Centre Street and Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard Road. Make sure to plan your travel around these closures.
