The summit, hosted in the Russian city of Kazan, was inaugurated by Russian President Vladimir Putin and focused on the theme “Strengthening Multilateralism for Equitable Global Development and Security.”
This year’s BRICS Summit, chaired by Russia, brings together leaders from the BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa), along with representatives from invited countries and international organizations.
