Strengthening Bilateral Relations
Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, held talks with Sheikh Tamim, Emir of Qatar, during an official visit to Doha on Tuesday. The discussions took place at the Amiri Diwan, where both leaders emphasized the strong ties between the UAE and Qatar and explored opportunities for enhancing co-operation across strategic sectors.
UAE’s Commitment to Strengthening Relations
Sheikh Khaled reaffirmed the UAE leadership’s dedication to furthering relations with Qatar and expressed gratitude to Sheikh Tamim for the warm hospitality. Upon his arrival at Doha International Airport, Sheikh Khaled was welcomed by Qatar’s Deputy Emir, Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani.
Talks on Key Areas of Co-operation
During a reception at the Amiri Diwan, Sheikh Khaled and Sheikh Abdullah discussed deepening collaboration across key sectors. Sheikh Khaled also met with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, where both parties reiterated the importance of expanding partnerships, reflecting the aspirations of their respective leaderships.
High-Level Delegation
Sheikh Khaled’s delegation included several high-ranking UAE officials such as Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court, Mohamed Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment, Khalifa Al Marar, Minister of State, and Sheikh Zayed bin Khalifa, UAE ambassador to Qatar.
Series of High-Level Meetings
This visit is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen ties between the two nations. Earlier this year, President Sheikh Mohamed hosted Sheikh Tamim in Abu Dhabi, where the two leaders called for a peaceful resolution to the Gaza conflict and discussed regional stability. In August, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, also met with Sheikh Tamim in Doha to reinforce partnerships supporting regional prosperity.
