A Dream Come True in Manila
Olivia Rodrigo fulfilled a long-held dream over the weekend as she performed her first-ever concert in the Philippines. The sold-out show took place at the Philippine Arena in Manila, marking a significant milestone for the half-Filipino musician. With over 50,000 fans in attendance, it became the largest headlining concert of her career to date.
Emotional Connection with the Audience
Expressing her excitement, Olivia Rodrigo shared on Instagram: “Been dreaming of this show for a whileeeee. My first time in the Philippines and also my biggest venue ever!!!!! Thank you to everyone [in] Manila for welcoming me so generously and making me feel so loved.”
During the concert, she wore a custom sash that read “Miss So Filipina” and a tank top that said “Pinoy Pride.” The singer connected deeply with her heritage, expressing her happiness to be on stage and acknowledging the beauty of her audience.
A Special Moment- Olivia Rodrigo
One of the highlights of the concert occurred during her performance of “Logical,” when Rodrigo waved to the daughter of renowned Filipino actors Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes, who were in attendance. The young girl, visibly thrilled, later exclaimed in a video, “Mama, she said hi to me!”
Commitment to Accessibility and Impact
Rodrigo emphasized the importance of accessibility during her Manila concert. Tickets were capped at $30, including fees, with all net proceeds benefiting Jhpiego, a nonprofit organization focused on providing healthcare to women and girls worldwide. This initiative is part of Rodrigo’s Fund 4 Good, launched in conjunction with her Guts world tour, which aims to foster an equitable future for women and girls.
After visiting Jhpiego while in Manila, Rodrigo praised their impactful work, saying, “I was so impressed by the work they are doing providing healthcare to women and girls in the Philippines. It was the most special show and the most meaningful trip. To say I’m grateful doesn’t even cut it! Mahal kita ❤️.”

In previous interviews, Rodrigo expressed her enthusiasm for touring in the Philippines, highlighting the warmth and hospitality of the Filipino people. Reflecting on her admiration for Filipino representation in the entertainment industry, she recalled being star-struck when she first met Vanessa Hudgens, stating, “She’s Filipino like me, and I remember thinking that was cool.”
