UAE Residents Can Now Complete Biometric Scans at Customer Happiness Centres Across All Seven Emirates
New residents in the United Arab Emirates can now conveniently complete their biometric scans at Customer Happiness Centres located throughout all seven emirates. This service is essential for those applying for residency, as biometric data collection is a prerequisite for obtaining an Emirates ID.
Biometric data collection involves capturing fingerprint and iris scans, which are mandatory for all applicants aged 15 and above. These biometric markers are crucial in establishing a secure digital identity for residents.
Booking a Biometric Appointment
To provide biometric data, individuals must visit a Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) Customer Happiness Centre. Residents in Dubai also have the option to visit Amer Centres or authorized medical facilities.
It is important to note that appointments must be booked in advance, as walk-in services are rarely available. The following steps outline how to book an appointment through the ICP’s official portal:
- Access the ICP website at icp.gov.ae and log in using your UAE PASS.
- Navigate to your Emirates ID application, either in process or printed, and locate your personal registration acknowledgment number (PRAN) or application reference number at the top of the document.
- Select the option to ‘Book Biometric Appointment’ and input your PRAN.
- Choose your emirate and preferred Customer Happiness Centre, where available time slots will be displayed in real time.
- Confirm your selected date and time, then download the appointment details, which are required on the day of your visit.
