Lee Andrews Claims Katie Price Will Fund His Life Behind Bars in Dubai’s Al-Awir Prison

Lee Andrews, currently incarcerated in Dubai’s Al-Awir prison, has reportedly informed fellow inmates that his wife, Katie Price, will financially support his lifestyle while he serves his sentence. Andrews, who married Price in January shortly after their first meeting, faces a hefty release fee of £140,000.

Financial Struggles and Requests for Help

To secure his freedom, Andrews must pay a substantial amount. Despite previously claiming millionaire status, he has recently suggested that Price initiate a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for his release. This plan would involve soliciting contributions from the public, but Price has allegedly declined, stating that “everyone hates you.”

Reports indicate that Andrews is now telling inmates that Price will provide him with cash to sustain his life in prison. Inmates at Al-Awir can use a system known as “punch” to purchase snacks and cigarettes.

Life Inside Al-Awir Prison

Inmates at Al-Awir utilize a card system and iPads to place orders for food and other items. However, Andrews reportedly arrived too late to make any purchases due to a lack of funds. According to another inmate, once a card is obtained, money can be loaded onto it for buying extra food or making phone calls. The inmate noted that Andrews had been boasting about receiving cash from Price, but it remains uncertain whether this has actually occurred.

As reported by www.mirror.co.uk, it appears that Price is not providing any financial assistance to her husband.

Opportunities for Earning Money

Andrews has the option to earn money through various prison jobs, including laundry and cleaning. Some inmates also engage in sewing, transforming trousers into blankets. However, like many prisons, Al-Awir has a black market where inmates can buy and sell items using their “punch” credits.

While Andrews has claimed to be accustomed to a luxurious lifestyle, his current circumstances are markedly different. Inmates do have access to televisions and a gym, which Andrews reportedly uses.

Social Dynamics and Allegations

Football games are organized in the prison courtyard, but Andrews has yet to participate. Inmates have commented on his tendency to boast about his past, suggesting he might claim to have trained with notable figures, such as Cristiano Ronaldo.

Since his incarceration, Andrews has had his head shaved as a precaution against lice infestations among the prison’s 6,000 inmates.

Despite being behind bars, Andrews has faced accusations of attempting to scam individuals with the help of an accomplice. A fan of Price has claimed that Andrews’ Facebook page, along with someone posing as his business manager, was involved in a scheme to solicit money while he was incarcerated.

Scam Allegations

One individual, named David, recounted messaging Andrews’ Facebook account as a joke, expressing interest in investing money. He was surprised to receive a response weeks later from someone claiming to be Andrews’ business manager, who requested his phone number.

David was then approached by a man named Robert Davis, who claimed to be Andrews’ business manager, asking for £5,000 as an investment. David noted that he was not genuinely interested in investing but wanted to see how far the conversation would go.

The alleged manager sent David an image that appeared to be artificially generated, depicting a bald man in an office. The message accompanying the image stated that the sender was making an exception for David because of his respect for Andrews.

After providing his mobile number, David received a message from a British number. The conversation shifted to WhatsApp, where he was asked to transfer money to a personal account under a different name, as the company’s accounts were still being set up. David was also offered the option to send money via Western Union to a woman in Mississippi.

When David inquired about Andrews’ incarceration, he received a message claiming that Andrews was not in jail and that there was merely a misunderstanding with Price.

The Mirror has reached out to Price’s spokesperson and attempted to contact Lee Andrews for further comment.
