As he navigates this new reality, his violent past resurfaces, endangering his family.
Unlike typical action films such as Furious or the John Wick series, Your Mother is a character-driven story where action is sparse but impactful. The film balances serious themes with moments of humor, keeping audiences engaged as they wonder how Latif will overcome his challenges. Ali’s performance as the morally ambiguous protagonist is complemented by John Cho, who portrays a charismatic yet unhinged antagonist leading a right-wing church group.
This film stands out as a powerful character study, offering a fresh perspective in a genre often dominated by formulaic plots.
