Harry Kane scored his first Bundesliga goal of the season, leading Bayern Munich to a 2-1 victory over Elversberg on Sunday. With captain Manuel Neuer rested, Kane netted the decisive goal with 18 minutes remaining, breaking a 1-1 deadlock and securing the defending champions’ win.
Bayern initially took the lead through teenage winger Lennart Karl, but Elversberg equalized just after the hour mark with a stunning curling effort from Maurice Krattenmacher. Kane, who had a prolific previous season with 36 league goals, expressed his relief after the match, stating, “That’s football – sometimes you have to wait more than you’d have expected. It was nice to get the goal and the three points. It’s a tough place so we’re happy with the win. We probably haven’t reached our top level yet, but it’s still early days.”
RB Leipzig’s Resounding Win
In another Bundesliga match, RB Leipzig bounced back from a midweek Champions League defeat by thrashing Hamburg 5-0 at home. Norway winger Antonio Nusa was instrumental, scoring one goal and assisting two others, including one for Christopher Nkunku, who marked his return to Leipzig with a goal. Tidiam Gomis, Willi Orban, and Rômulo also contributed to the scoreline, lifting Leipzig to fifth in the table, while Hamburg remains at the bottom with a -12 goal difference.

Juventus equalized in the 82nd minute when Edon Zhegrova capitalized on a mistake by Sassuolo’s goalkeeper. However, Sassuolo regained the lead shortly after and sealed their victory with a stunning stoppage-time goal from Vasilije Adzic.
Meanwhile, Napoli ended a three-match losing streak with a narrow 1-0 victory over Bologna, thanks to a second-half goal from Stanislav Lobotka after an earlier header from Bologna was ruled offside.
Barcelona’s Perfect Start
