The Dubai Government pavilion made a significant impact at GITEX GLOBAL 2025, the leading global technology and artificial intelligence event. By showcasing a range of advanced solutions, the pavilion illustrated how Dubai’s comprehensive strategy concerning AI, automation, and data intelligence is actively reshaping urban governance and public services.
Bringing together multiple government entities, the pavilion served as a platform to present initiatives aimed at fostering smart transport, efficient policing, and optimal maritime management, among other advancements. Each showcased innovation underscored the emirate’s commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and delivering citizen-centered services.
Groundbreaking Solutions for Enhanced Efficiency
Digital Dubai introduced innovative AI applications designed to optimize decision-making processes. Notable among these was the introduction of AI Agents, who serve as digital partners in improving efficiency citywide. The AI Room, an immersive experience linked to the DubaiNow app, demonstrated the city’s vision of a future where human-AI interactions are integral.
Other key announcements included CodAI and the Cell of Data and Analytical Intelligence. These initiatives are focused on increasing AI maturity and facilitating the deployment of trusted technologies. Additionally, the Dubai Dashboard provides real-time insights powered by AI, assisting decision-makers in driving the city’s development.
H.E. Tariq Al Janahi, CEO of the Corporate Enablement Sector at Digital Dubai, noted, “Our participation at GITEX GLOBAL 2025 was a truly digital journey, where more than 50 government and private entities came together to showcase Dubai’s transformation into a ‘City-as-a-Service’ model.”
Enhancing Public Safety and Emergency Responses
The Dubai Police unveiled its Drone Box initiative, designed to optimize emergency response times. This system utilizes strategically placed drone boxes that act as first responders, aiming to reduce response times from three minutes to just one. With 12 active units and plans to expand to 30 by the end of the year, this initiative represents a significant step forward in smart policing.
In addition, the Dubai Police showcased an Autonomous Mobile Patrol equipped with advanced technologies such as facial recognition and behavioral analysis. This patrol vehicle, designed for extended operational hours, emphasizes public safety while improving efficiency through innovation.
Intelligent Transportation Solutions
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) presented its AutoCheck 360, an AI-powered vehicle inspection system that enhances the accuracy and speed of inspections. By using computer vision and IoT technology, the platform reduces inspection durations from 17 minutes to just seven, minimizing human error.
The RTA also introduced the Trackless Tram, an innovative mode of public transport that operates without physical tracks. This system employs optical navigation and AI for obstacle detection, promoting a more sustainable and flexible approach to transportation in the city.
Revolutionizing Maritime Operations
Dubai’s Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation rolled out Marsa, a digital platform aimed at simplifying yacht docking. Through this platform, yacht owners can easily check real-time availability and manage berthing with secure online payment options.
Also highlighted was Port Eye, an advanced drone surveillance system set to enhance port safety and environmental monitoring. With plans for deployment in various maritime locations, this system will autonomously monitor air quality and detect gas leaks, reinforcing Dubai’s leadership in maritime technology.
Smart City Innovations and Digital Transformation
Dubai Municipality introduced the DANA project, a smart digital system designed to improve city management through data-driven insights. DANA focuses on key areas such as land management and urban planning, providing users with reliable and actionable information.
Another important development showcased was Dubai Live, an interactive digital twin platform that consolidates real-time municipal data. This system supports informed decision-making and enhances service delivery across the city by improving access to crucial information.
Looking Ahead to GITEX 2026
Looking forward, GITEX is set to take place from December 7-11, 2026, at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai. The upcoming edition will mark a new phase with the introduction of GITEX TechCation, extending the event beyond traditional exhibition settings to include immersive citywide experiences.
