Strategic Agreement for Modern Infrastructure
Karachi Gateway Terminal Multipurpose Limited (KGTML), affiliated with Noatum Ports and AD Ports Group, has solidified a long-term commercial partnership with Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) Pakistan. This collaboration aims to establish an advanced, environmentally friendly bulk handling and storage facility dedicated to agricultural products at Karachi Port.
This venture marks a significant extension to the $75 million already invested by AD Ports Group in the first phase of the KGTML project. The investment reflects a commitment to enhancing Pakistan’s logistical capacity and agricultural infrastructure.
Development of a Clean Bulk Facility
KGTML takes the lead in designing and constructing a food-grade clean bulk facility that encompasses a sophisticated handling and conveyor system, alongside essential infrastructure and utilities. This facility is specifically engineered to facilitate the handling and storage of dry agricultural bulk cargo. The initiative underscores KGTML’s role in modernizing logistics to support the agricultural sector in Pakistan.
LDC is poised to contribute an inbound volume of agricultural commodities, thereby leveraging the new infrastructure in line with its growth strategy for the region. This partnership is expected to strengthen LDC’s operational presence in Pakistan.
