Florian Guillermet, the executive director of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, mentioned that obtaining European certification for the C919 may take “between three and six years.” Although COMAC initially aimed for approval by 2025, the agency’s assessments indicate that the certification process is likely to be protracted.
