Ashley Banjo: The Creative Force
Ashley Banjo remains the face of Diversity, continuing to shape the group’s artistic direction. At 37, he has built a successful solo career, serving as a judge on Dancing on Ice and Britain’s Got Talent, and creating specials like The Real Full Monty.
In 2023, Banjo made his West End debut as the Tin Woodman in The Wizard of Oz at the London Palladium. His career has not been without controversy; a Black Lives Matter-inspired performance on BGT drew over 30,000 complaints, marking it as one of the most contentious moments in UK television history.
Banjo is also a father of two, Rose and Micah, with his ex-wife Francesca. The couple announced their separation in 2022. Currently, he is touring the UK as part of the Diversity SOUL tour.
Jordan Banjo: A Multifaceted Career
Jordan Banjo, Ashley’s younger brother and another original member of Diversity, has diversified his career since winning Britain’s Got Talent. Now 33, he has appeared on shows like I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here and The Masked Dancer. He also co-hosted the KISS Breakfast Show with fellow group member Perri Kiely until January 30, 2026.
In addition to his television work, Jordan has ventured into boxing, participating in a Misfits match on March 7, 2023. He is a devoted family man, married to influencer Naomi since 2022, and is also touring with Diversity.
Perri Kiely: The Rising Star
Perri Kiely, one of the youngest members of Diversity, continues to be a core performer and choreographer. Known for his impressive dance skills, he gained additional fame through his appearance on Celebs Go Dating, where he struggled with confidence but eventually formed a close friendship with reality star Joey Essex.
Kiely has collaborated on various television projects, including Dancing on Ice and Jordan and Perri’s Ultimate Block Party. He also partnered with Jordan on KISS Breakfast from 2019 to 2026. Currently, he shares insights into his busy life on social media and is in a relationship with actress Jess Pickles.
Sam Craske: Balancing Family and Dance
Sam Craske, another founding member, remains active in live performances and choreography. He also teaches at Diversity Dance Studios. Craske made headlines for his appearance on Celebs Go Dating and previously dated Jade Thirlwall from Little Mix.
Outside of his professional life, Sam is a family man. He and his partner, Megan, have two children, including a son named Blake, born on October 27, 2022, and another son, Caleb, born in May 2023.
Mitchell Craske: The Loyal Performer
Mitchell Craske, also an original member, continues to tour with Diversity and teaches dance classes. He has embraced a dual career as a social media content creator. Known for his youthful energy, Mitchell joined the group at just 12 years old.
At 30, he maintains a strong connection to the Diversity family, showcasing his journey on social media while remaining committed to his craft.
Remembering Robert Anker
Robert Anker, a beloved member of Diversity, tragically passed away in a car accident in Canada in 2017. After winning Britain’s Got Talent, he appeared in music videos for artists like Paloma Faith and Jessie J and starred in the West End show Thriller Live. His untimely death shocked fans and fellow performers alike, prompting an outpouring of tributes.
The McNaughton Brothers: A Different Path
Ian and Jamie McNaughton, founding members of Diversity, have stepped away from the spotlight since their 2009 victory. They have chosen to pursue other interests, maintaining a low profile with no public involvement in dance or entertainment.
Today, Diversity continues to tour the UK with their concept show SOUL, featuring a mix of original and new members. The group has expanded to include 14-15 core performers, showcasing a blend of talent and experience.
