Dubai Chamber of Commerce Welcomes 53,000 New Companies
Strong Performance Reflects Economic Growth
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce has reported a notable increase in its membership, welcoming over 53,800 new companies from January to September 2025. This marks a 4 percent year-on-year growth, reinforcing Dubai’s status as a competitive global business hub. The increase highlights the ongoing appeal of the city within the international business community.
Member Export and Re-export Growth
Export and re-export performance from chamber members reached AED 260 billion, representing a significant 16 percent rise compared to the previous year. Additionally, the chamber facilitated the issuance of more than 627,000 Certificates of Origin, which are essential for international trade documentation. Alongside this, AED 3.69 billion worth of goods was processed through 3,743 ATA Carnets, reflecting the busy trade environment in the region.
Support for Local Businesses’ International Expansion
In its efforts to bolster the international presence of local businesses, the Dubai Chamber successfully supported 90 companies in their expansion endeavors, achieving a 20 percent increase compared to 2024. This initiative underscores the chamber’s commitment to helping UAE-based companies navigate global markets effectively.
Legislative Engagement and Collaborative Efforts
The Dubai Chamber is also actively engaging in legislative processes, having reviewed 42 draft laws in collaboration with various business groups. The adoption rate of private sector recommendations stands at 64 percent, demonstrating effective communication and collaboration between the chamber and local stakeholders. Moreover, over 220 meetings have been held with different councils and groups to strengthen partnerships and support the business community.
Legal Awareness Initiatives
To enhance legal awareness among businesses, the Dubai Chamber organized 25 seminars and workshops, attended by more than 1,700 participants. These sessions are crucial for ensuring that local enterprises are informed about legal matters affecting their operations. Additionally, mediation cases increased by 11 percent, with a total value exceeding AED 230 million, indicating a robust demand for conflict resolution services.
Advancements in Family Business Support
The Dubai Centre for Family Businesses has launched new advisory services and published its first directory of family business advisors. This initiative aims to provide tailored support to family-owned enterprises, which form a significant part of Dubai’s economic landscape. Furthermore, 29 participants graduated from the center’s management programme, indicating ongoing commitment to cultivating leadership in family businesses.
Governance Events and Engagement
In addition to its advisory offerings, the Dubai Centre for Family Businesses hosted four governance events, further emphasizing the importance of good governance in maintaining sustainable business practices. These events serve as a platform for families in business to share best practices and enhance their operational frameworks.
