Dubai Chambers recently welcomed Louise Araneta-Marcos, the First Lady of the Republic of the Philippines, at its headquarters in Dubai. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations and fostering collaboration between the two regions. Notable attendees included H.E. Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, and H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers.
Commitment to Cooperation
During the meeting, H.E. Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori emphasized the significance of this visit in reinforcing the relationship between Dubai and the Philippines. “This visit represents an important step in strengthening the relationship between Dubai and the Philippines and creating new opportunities for cooperation between our business communities,” he stated. The Chairman underscored Dubai’s commitment to supporting Filipino companies in expanding regionally and internationally by leveraging the emirate’s competitive advantages, including its strategic location, advanced infrastructure, and business-friendly climate.
Al Mansoori further remarked, “Dubai Chambers remains committed to strengthening international economic partnerships, expanding trade cooperation, and identifying strategic opportunities that advance mutual growth.” This vision aims to bolster Dubai’s role as a global hub for business and investment.
Presentation on Strategic Advantages
The meeting featured a presentation from Dubai Chambers that highlighted the emirate’s strategic advantages as an international business hub. Key points included potential cooperative areas between Dubai and the Philippines and the competitive benefits provided to Philippine companies looking to establish a presence in Dubai.
Growing Trade Relations
This visit coincides with the rising trade and investment ties between Dubai and the Philippines. In 2024, non-oil bilateral trade escalated to AED 3.1 billion. Furthermore, 653 Philippine companies joined Dubai Chamber of Commerce during the first nine months of 2025, increasing the total number of active members from the Philippines to 2,508 by the end of September.
Successful Trade Missions
Dubai Chamber of Commerce, a key component of Dubai Chambers, previously organized a successful trade mission to the Philippines. This initiative included representatives from 17 private sector companies in Dubai and facilitated 180 bilateral business meetings aimed at exploring opportunities and establishing partnerships across various industries.
Additionally, Dubai Chamber of Commerce hosted a forum in Manila titled “Doing Business with the Philippines,” which attracted 314 participants. During this forum, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This agreement aims to strengthen bilateral trade relations and explore new avenues for cooperation between the business communities in both regions.
