Dubai is set to implement a mandatory marine traffic management plan to ensure safety and organization during the peak hours of the New Year’s Eve celebrations. This initiative aims to facilitate smooth movement across the emirate’s waterways as large numbers of vessels prepare to head out to view the dazzling fireworks displays.

The maritime measures will be in effect from 10 PM on December 31, 2025, until 2 AM on January 1, 2026. The Dubai Maritime Authority (DMA) has emphasized that this plan is critical for managing increased marine traffic, particularly during events that attract significant crowds.
According to the DMA, ensuring a secure environment for all sea-goers is at the core of this plan. The various measures instituted are part of an integrated approach designed to handle elevated marine activities, especially around the transition from one year to the next.
