Dubai Shopping Festival 2015: Unveils Exciting Lineup of 150 Events and Activities
Dubai is set to host the 20th edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) from January 1 to February 1, 2015, featuring an impressive array of over 150 events and activities. This year’s festival promises to be a grand celebration, showcasing a rich tapestry of cultural, musical, and entertainment experiences for residents and visitors alike.
Musical Highlights
DSF Celebration Nights
Scheduled for January 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 29, and 30 at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre, the DSF Celebration Nights will feature a mega concert series. This event will bring together 20 renowned Arab superstars, providing an opportunity for attendees to dance the night away. Produced in collaboration with Platinum Records and Dubai Media City, the concert lineup includes prominent artists such as Mohammad Abdo, Hussan Al Jassmi, Amr Diab, Ahlam, Nancy Ajram, Elissa, and Majed Mohandes.
DSF Orchestra Concert
On January 1, families and visitors can enjoy the DSF Orchestra Concert at Zabeel Park. The Welsh National Opera will perform, featuring a full ensemble of 55 musicians and an additional 75 orchestra members. This event marks the opening ceremony of the Dubai Shopping Festival, with guest artists including Amjad Ali Khan, Xiang Zhang, Joanna Marsh, and Cecile Licad.
KathNiel Live in Dubai
Also on January 1, the Sheikh Rashid Auditorium at the Indian High School will host the popular Filipino duo, Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo, known as KathNiel. This concert marks their first performance in the UAE, promising a family-friendly entertainment experience.
Arijit Singh Live Concert
On January 15, the Dubai World Trade Centre will welcome Bollywood playback singer Arijit Singh, who will perform with a 50-piece symphony orchestra. Singh, recognized for his classical training and numerous accolades, gained fame with his hit song “Tum Hi Ho” from the 2013 film Aashiqui 2.
Sonu Nigam in Concert
On January 16, the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium will host “THE EPIC EVENT – My Musical Journey,” featuring India’s celebrated singer Sonu Nigam and a 50-member troupe. This four-hour concert promises an unforgettable Bollywood musical experience.
Zakir Hussain’s Nirvana 2015
On January 31, tabla maestro Ustad Zakir Hussain will perform at Hall 6 of the Dubai World Trade Centre. The concert will blend Indian instrumental music with Celtic and World Fusion, featuring artists like Rakesh Chaurasia, Ganesh Rajgopalan, and Navin Sharma.

From January 1 to 17, The Beach opposite JBR will feature a Celebrity Pop-up Shop with fashion icons Giuliana and Bill Rancic. The couple will engage in various activities, including a meet-and-greet session and showcasing Giuliana’s fashion line, “G by GR.”
Market Outside The Box (Market OTB)
Running from January 15 to 24 at Southridge Park, Downtown Dubai, Market OTB will be the region’s first sustainable fashion and lifestyle marketplace. It will feature retailers in refurbished shipping containers, offering sustainably produced fashion items and accessories, along with workshops and performances.
Smurfs Live on Stage
The world premiere of Smurfs Live on Stage will take place from January 16 to 19 at Hall 8, Dubai World Trade Centre. The show will feature the beloved characters in a musical narrative, with four performances scheduled.

The Ripe Food & Craft Market will occur on January 1, 2, 3, 9, 16, 23, and 30 at Gate 1, Zabeel Park, providing a platform for local artisans and small businesses.
