Dubai Unveils 595 New Bus Shelters in RTA’s Citywide Upgrade Completion
Major Progress in Public Transportation Infrastructure
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has successfully completed the installation of 595 new public bus shelters across key districts in the emirate. This initiative forms part of a larger program to erect a total of 762 shelters, aimed at enhancing the quality of public transport facilities within Dubai.
The project is now 89 percent complete and is designed to support the emirate’s long-term urban mobility goals. The new bus shelters not only aim to elevate the standard of public transport but also reflect a modern aesthetic that aligns with Dubai’s urban landscape.

The newly introduced bus shelters feature a range of amenities intended to improve the daily commute for both residents and visitors. According to RTA officials, these shelters will be critical for several heavily frequented routes, including those that handle more than ten bus lines.
