Global Village has officially launched its 31st season with an impressive opening night featuring a dazzling drone show and a choir performance titled “The Parade of the World.” This year’s theme, “A More Wonderful World,” promises to enhance the visitor experience with a variety of new attractions and entertainment options. The event kicked off at 6 PM on Wednesday, marking a significant moment in Dubai’s entertainment calendar.
New Attractions and Experiences
This season introduces several exciting features, including the stunt show “Fast Live 2: The Police Strike Back” and two new musicals, “Bollywood Idol” and “Bank Heist.” Additionally, thrill-seekers can look forward to the opening of a new roller coaster, Tokyo Rush, later in the season. These additions aim to diversify the entertainment offerings, catering to a wide range of audiences.
A Cultural Showcase
Global Village continues to celebrate cultural diversity with 29 pavilions representing over 90 cultures. Visitors can explore more than 3,500 shopping outlets and enjoy over 250 dining options. The season will feature an impressive lineup of 40,000 shows and more than 200 attractions. Notably, the Sri Lanka, Russia, and Azerbaijan pavilions have undergone renovations, while the Syria and Kuwait pavilions sport new façades, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the venue.
Enhanced Visitor Experience
In addition to the entertainment and cultural offerings, Global Village has implemented new visitor services, including a VIP parking self-payment system and a WhatsApp chatbot for real-time information. These innovations aim to streamline the visitor experience, making it easier for guests to navigate the expansive venue.
Fernando Eiroa, CEO of Dubai Holding Entertainment, emphasized the importance of Global Village in fostering connections among visitors, stating, “Global Village holds a special place in people’s lives because of the connections they make here.” This sentiment underscores the venue’s role as a cultural hub in Dubai.
Operational Details
Global Village will operate until May 2027, with opening hours from 4 PM to midnight Sunday through Wednesday, and from 4 PM to 1 AM Thursday through Saturday and on public holidays. Notably, Tuesdays are designated for families and women only, except on public holidays. Tickets can be purchased via the Global Village website, app, or at ticket counters located at all entrances.
