Heavy Rain Forces Cancellation of 18 Flights from Dubai to Pakistan
Disruption in Air Travel Due to Severe Weather
Severe rainfall has led to significant disruptions in flight operations between Dubai and Pakistan, resulting in the cancellation of 18 flights and numerous delays. Airport officials reported that adverse weather conditions have heavily affected flights operating from major airports in Pakistan to Dubai and Sharjah.
In total, 18 flights were canceled, impacting travel plans for many. Additionally, 67 flights saw delays in arrivals and departures across various airports in the country, further complicating the travel situation.
Canceled Flights Impacting Major Cities
Among the flights that were canceled were two international flights on a foreign airline operating between Dubai and Karachi. Two flights from Faisalabad to Dubai, along with three Dubai-bound flights from Lahore, were also among the cancellations. Peshawar experienced the grounding of six flights destined for Dubai, while operations for two Islamabad-to-Dubai flights were disrupted due to the heavy rains.

Significant Delays Across Various Airports
Flight schedules indicate widespread delays in several key airports. In Lahore, 16 flights were affected, both inbound and outbound. Karachi saw disruptions to 12 flights, while Islamabad reported delays impacting 21 flights. In addition to rain-related issues, dense fog has compounded travel difficulties in other areas. At Multan Airport, for example, eight flights experienced delays in both arrivals and departures due to foggy conditions. Likewise, two flights each at Sialkot, Skardu, and Quetta airports faced delays, and Peshawar reported disruptions affecting four additional flights.
