Italian Firms Unveil Advanced Technologies at Adipec 2025
Italy’s Participation in Adipec 2025
Italy will actively participate in the upcoming Adipec 2025, taking place at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi from November 3rd to 6th. The Italian Trade Agency, in collaboration with several industry associations and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, will organize a pavilion featuring a diverse array of Italian companies.
The pavilion will host 40 prominent firms showcasing cutting-edge technologies pertinent to the oil, gas, and energy transition sectors. Italy’s involvement at Adipec underscores its increasing importance as a strategic energy partner for the UAE and the broader Gulf region.
Strong Export Growth in Oil and Gas Technologies
According to recent trade statistics, Italian exports of oil and gas technologies to the UAE surged to €292.2 million ($339 million) in 2024. This represents a substantial year-on-year increase of 45.9% compared to 2023, when exports were recorded at €200.2 million.
Additionally, Italy now constitutes 8.33% of the UAE’s total imports in oil and gas equipment, with a notable rise to 9.8% for the year-to-date figures from January to June 2025. This upward trend illustrates Italy’s growing influence in this vital market.
The UAE: A Key Trading Partner
The UAE remains one of Italy’s most significant trading partners within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). This relationship is reinforced by the consistent demand for high-quality, efficient, and sustainable energy solutions labeled as “Made in Italy.”
Recent data from industry circles reveals that total Italian exports in the oil and gas sector reached €17.65 billion in 2024, showing a 6.6% growth from the previous year. The UAE serves as a crucial destination contributing to this robust performance, highlighting Italy’s relevance in the region’s industrial landscape.
