The agreement was finalized by Ahmed Al Khatib, Chief Development and Delivery Officer of Expo City Dubai, along with William Cho, President of LG Electronics. This deal builds upon LG’s previous contributions to Expo City, where the company had been involved in providing LED signage during the Expo 2020 and has pledged to supply built-in home appliances for approximately 3,000 residences that are currently under construction.

Beyond merely supplying products, LG is poised to contribute advanced integrated solutions that will directly support the UAE’s ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision. This ambitious initiative aims to establish sustainable cities that operate efficiently using renewable energy sources. As part of its commitment, LG plans to introduce innovations such as AI data center cooling solutions, smart home systems powered by the LG AI Home Hub, and robotics-based manufacturing technologies.

We will accelerate efforts to capture new B2B and B2G opportunities with solutions built around each country’s future direction.”

Recently, the company has entered into a strategic partnership to develop an AI data center in Oxagon, located within Saudi Arabia’s ambitious NEOM project. Additionally, LG has signed a memorandum of understanding with regional firms to deliver advanced cooling solutions tailored for next-generation data centers.
With a robust 30-year history in the UAE and established operations in Saudi Arabia, LG is focused on expanding its footprint in the B2B and B2G sectors. The company aims to boost its B2B business segment to approximately 45% of total revenue by 2030. This strategy highlights LG’s growing role as a provider of sustainable technological solutions, particularly for government-led and large-scale infrastructure projects.
