In a display of skill and competitiveness, Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello clinched the men’s title, while the women’s title was secured by Claudia Fernandez and Bia Gonzalez. The finals, replete with high-caliber performances, captivated spectators present at the packed venue.
Recognition of Excellence
His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, presented the trophies to the champions, emphasizing the significance of this event. Accompanying him was Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum Juma Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Padel Association, both of whom underscored the tournament’s growing stature.
The accolades were not limited to the winners; special honors were given as well. Bia Gonzalez earned the Oysho MVP Award, while Agustín Tapia received the DAMAC MVP Award, reflecting their outstanding performances throughout the competition.
Innovative Venue Transformation
Under the patronage of Sheikh Mansoor, the tournament was organized by Gallop Global in association with local sporting authorities. This year’s event saw a remarkable transformation at the Hamdan Sports Complex, where the 10-lane Olympic swimming pool was converted into an impressive padel arena. The new venue now accommodates 8,000 spectators and features four professional-grade courts, establishing it as the largest indoor padel facility in the MENA region.
