Her micromanagement approach led to sleep deprivation, reducing her rest to merely two or three hours a day.

When inspiration strikes, she seizes the moment, capturing melodies that come “out of thin air.” The collaboration begins when she brings these ideas to her team to initiate the creative process. Navigating the bureaucratic aspects of the music industry, such as signing with a record label, also tested her patience. “You have to sign contracts before you can actually do anything. It just takes too much time, honestly,” she explained, highlighting the intricacies involved in her career.

According to her, “It’s really important to surround yourself with people that are on the same wavelength as you understand you, right? Gill’s next significant venture takes her to Dubai, where she will perform at The Citizens Foundation concert, Umeed 2025, alongside Faisal Kapadia on November 2. The event, held at The Agenda in Dubai Media City, aims to raise funds for education initiatives. Her commitment to social causes is evident, and her affinity for Dubai adds another layer to her narrative. “Out of all the places that I’ve been to, I love Dubai. It’s fun, it’s safe, it’s so clean, yeah, it’s just beautiful,” she shared, reflecting on her admiration for the city.
Beyond just a visit, Gill has plans to settle in Dubai. She candidly revealed her aspirations, stating, “I am thinking of… in the future, buying property there and then, you know, I can just come visit whenever I want to.” This ambition illustrates her desire for a more integrated life in a city she finds both inspiring and welcoming.
