The discussions also included plans for Uganda’s upcoming trade mission to the UAE in October 2026, which will feature a high-level delegation of government officials and business leaders aiming to explore new trade partnerships.
Expanding Trade Opportunities
The Ugandan delegation reported a remarkable increase in bilateral trade, which surged from $600 million in 2018 to $4.7 billion, highlighting the depth of economic relations and the potential for further collaboration. The delegation expressed gratitude for SCCI’s proactive role in supporting various strategic initiatives in Uganda, aiming to leverage SCCI’s expertise to advance its sustainable development goals.
