UNTOLD Dubai Delivers Unforgettable Experience to Over 185,000 Fans, Establishing UAE as a Premier Festival Destination
From February 15 to 18, Expo City Dubai transformed into a vibrant hub of music and culture as the inaugural UNTOLD Dubai Festival took place. This event, a global brand originating from Cluj-Napoca, Romania, attracted over 185,000 music enthusiasts, with 45,000 attendees on the final day alone. The festival showcased a rich tapestry of performances, establishing the UAE as a significant player in the international festival scene.
A Musical Utopia
Over the course of four days and nights, UNTOLD Dubai created an immersive experience that blended real-world interactions with imaginative elements. The festival featured four stages and over 100 artists, delivering unforgettable memories and transformative experiences for attendees. Notable performers included Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Hardwell, Don Diablo, and Ellie Goulding, among others.
The Mainstage served as the centerpiece of the festival, hosting a diverse lineup of global superstars. The final day featured a standout performance by K-pop sensation PSY, known for his viral hit “Gangnam Style.” His show was marked by high energy, dancers, video projections, and a stunning fireworks display, symbolizing the festival’s commitment to delivering memorable moments.
Stellar Performances
The final night of UNTOLD Dubai was highlighted by performances from Sebastian Ingrosso of Swedish House Mafia, Timmy Trumpet, and Romanian pop icon INNA. Ingrosso premiered his collaboration “Skip” with Steve Angello, showcasing his ability to create an electrifying atmosphere. Timmy Trumpet, ranked sixth in the Top 100 DJ Mag, captivated the audience with two worldwide premieres, while INNA engaged festivalgoers in a unique interactive performance.
The festival’s lineup also included other prominent artists such as Badshah, Major Lazer, G-Eazy, and DJ Bliss. Each day brought unique highlights, with Tiesto’s live set being particularly anticipated among fans of trance and progressive house music. His performance was met with enthusiastic responses from the audience.
Diverse Stages and Experiences
The festival featured multiple stages, each offering distinct musical experiences. The Galaxy stage showcased house and techno artists, including Luciano and Sven Vath, in an architecturally stunning setting at Al Was Plaza. This venue, known for its massive steel trellis dome, houses the world’s largest 360-degree projection surface, providing an immersive visual experience for attendees.
The Alchemy stage hosted urban artists like Chase & Status and Freddie Gibbs, while the Time stage offered performances from artists such as Sara Bluma and Shaun Warner, set against a backdrop of flowing fountains.
In addition to music, attendees enjoyed various activities, games, and a fashion village featuring creative designers and makeup artists. Over 40 food vendors provided a diverse culinary experience, complementing the festival’s vibrant atmosphere across 170,000 square meters of themed decorations.
A Successful Inaugural Event
Edy Chereji, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of UNTOLD Universe, remarked on the festival’s success, stating that UNTOLD Dubai exceeded expectations and received phenomenal responses from attendees. He expressed gratitude for the support from fans worldwide and emphasized that the festival was a celebration of music, connection, and emotion. Chereji also hinted at plans for an even more magical return in 2025.
