Season 4 of Emily in Paris Picks Up Where the Drama Left Off
The third season of Darren Star’s Emily in Paris ended with a dramatic twist as Camille (Camille Razat) called off her wedding to hot chef Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), insisting that he and Emily (Lily Collins) always had feelings for each other. This led to Emily’s British banker boyfriend, Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), walking out in a huff. Season 4 opens with Camille’s brother, Timothée (Victor Meutelet), shaming Emily on TikTok, and the video quickly goes viral.
Three Days Later: The Aftermath

It’s three days after the wedding that wasn’t, and Camille is missing, Alfie is sulking, and Emily and Gabriel are trying to convince everyone that they are just good friends — despite the lingering looks between them. Meanwhile, it’s the French Open, and a major advertising campaign calls for Emily and Alfie to kiss in the stands at Stade Roland Garros.
Mindy’s Eurovision Dilemma

Emily’s best friend, heiress and singer Mindy (Ashley Park), is chosen to represent France at the Eurovision Song Contest with her band. However, the excitement is tempered by her recent breakup with band member Benoît (Kevin Dias). With their trip requiring funding, Mindy faces a dilemma: should she ask her wealthy boyfriend Nicolas (Paul Forman) for help, or turn to her estranged business magnate father?
Sylvie’s Past Comes Back to Haunt Her
Emily’s boss and owner of Agence Grateau, Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), is also dealing with her past, particularly with Louis de Léon (Pierre Deny), whose luxury goods company JVMA is a major client of Grateau. Complicating matters further, Louis has heavily invested in Sylvie’s husband Laurent’s (Arnaud Binard) club and is Nicolas’ father.
Office Drama and New Secrets
Emily’s co-workers, Julien (Samuel Arnold) and Luc (Bruno Gouery), continue to bring humor to the series. Julien receives an offer he can’t refuse — or can he? Meanwhile, Luc discovers a secret about his love, Michelin inspector Marianne (Laurence Gormezano).
A Mix of Couture, Chaos, and Clichés
Season 4 (Part 1) of Emily in Paris offers plenty of French sophistication, including a masquerade ball, rooftop romance, and a dissertation on grey areas. There’s also a tangled web involving a lover, his pregnant bisexual ex-fiancée, and a Greek artist named Sofia (Melia Kreiling), adding to the series’ trademark mix of clichés.
Fashion Takes Center Stage
With the plot often taking a backseat, the fashion in Emily in Paris remains on point. Emily continues to favor bright colors, including an all-yellow ensemble, but also shows off a chic coordinated blouse and skirt. Her bangs, which she dramatically cut last season, are often pinned up or pushed back with a stylish hairband. Mindy, despite a brief deviation at Roland Garros, maintains her flamboyant style.
Light, Bingeable, and Forgettable
The five episodes of Emily in Paris Season 4, Part 1 are light, bingeable, and easily forgettable. While fans may not lose sleep waiting for Part 2 to drop on September 12, they will likely still tune in — especially with the sneak peek of handsome Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini) helping Emily ski down the bunny slope.
