Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a new app-based minibus pooling service to offer commuters a more efficient and flexible public transport option. The service is designed to reduce reliance on private vehicles and make travel more convenient within the city.
Key Features of the Service
- Dynamic Booking System: The service uses a dynamic booking system, available on three smart apps – Citylink Shuttle, DrivenBus, and Fluxx Daily.
- Flexible Routes: Unlike traditional buses, the minibus service operates on-demand without fixed routes, allowing passengers to book rides based on their needs.
- Seating Capacity: Minibuses will accommodate between 13 to 30 passengers.
- Dynamic Pricing: Fares will vary depending on the distance traveled and demand, offering more flexibility for passengers.
- Subscription Plans: Commuters can choose from one-time rides or opt for weekly and monthly subscription plans.
Initial Launch and Future Expansion by RTA
The service will initially operate in Deira, connecting key areas such as Business Bay, Dubai Mall, Mirdif, and Dubai Festival City. The RTA plans to expand the service across the city in the future to cover more areas.

Ahmed Hashim Bahrozyan, CEO of RTA’s Public Transport Agency, explained that the service aims to reduce traffic congestion and reliance on private vehicles.
